Oh well you guys must be wondering what the hell is the battle of the blues and all….well here is a small explanation:
Royal College and St. Thomas College are the two most distinguished and outstanding schools of Sri Lanka. They were built almost 150 years ago by the British and its a big competition to get into one of these schools. And once you have studied in one of these schools its a lifelong experience and there are many memorable stories to pass on for the generations to come. And I am proud to be a Alumni of Royal College Colombo. It was a big journey and alot of hard work that got me to this incredible destiny and I will never forget this experience!

Now to Royal Thomian Cricket match. This match has been playing from the year of 1838 and it is considered as one of the longest uninterrupted cricket matches in the world. Its simply a cricket match between these two schools that lasts 3 days. But about a month before this memorable event there are other amazing events that take place to boost the spririt of the students. Some of them are a Parade along the main roads of colombo, A big assembly symbolizing the importance fo the match, many speeches from famous Alumni sayign how important it is to be a royalist, introduction of the players and other thigns like burning coffins which are covered with the opponent school’s flag, gaining support from other schools, making surprise visits to other schools interrupting classes and doing various fun stuff oh man tis a big jounrney. There are much more but they are quite vulgar to mention down here.

But Royal College has been either losing or the match had been declared a draw for alot of past years until 2006! WOOT! ROYAL COLLEGE WON! It was amazing and the score was like 432 for 7 wickets which is said to a record after 100 somethign years! But thomians only scored 287 runs. And 104 runs and 140 runs were respectively scored by S. Senaratne and M.Maligaspe. It s a record breaking partnership too! Man how happy was I to hear this! The best part is one of my class mates named Feroze Ahamed was also one of the players and he did a great job too. Well all of you did a great job. And all the royalists too who werent in the team for showing immense support for royal! I am so so so happy! I wish I was there especially when I saw pic of my friends enjoying the memorable event! Anyways atleast I get to share with you guys about this wonderful event!

Okay so I was mentioning how hectic last week was. It really was hectic… MSE test i was confident before the test but after the test I thought I bombed it….but later i got the makr and thank god I didnt fail! CDS went on well….finished it as early as possible therefore Thursday and Friday were kind free days without homework…. But the MSE lab was so long….now i have to write that lab report too! Damn it!

Went out for lunch with Soph, Ross and MRC. It was a wonderful afternoon with alot fo jokes and stories to share. We went to a Thai restaurant but later when we were walking back we realised there was another Thai restaurant named the “Real Thai Restaurant” I guess we were cheated lol! hahaha….

BOMBAY DREAMS IS GONNA ROCK TORONTO!!!

WOOT!…. Its a musical which is produced by Andrew Lloyd Weber and music is by my favourite ARRahman. The basic storyline is how a guy from the slums makes it big into the Hindi Movie industry. This musical has toured London, Broadway and California and this was even screened for the Queen of England. Now its in Toronto. Again I dont need to say this but the music is awesome…So go check it out guys!

anyways next week seems hectic as well….Two exams and a lab report due! But I am feeling sick of this routine tests and lab reports seriously… Its become so routine that it doesnt feel exciting anymore…It feel ah well another test who cares! only a Month left for this semester to end! Oh yeah a MONTH!!! I cant wait for summer but I havent got a summer job yet which is pathetic! I think this is the only time I have applied for soooooo many jobs but havent received atleast one call! Damn Damn Damn

As I predicted last week this week seems to be hectic!
Alot fo things due this week… I have an MSE test today…Then I have to come home and write a stupid lab report which I am thinking of not doing….Then CHEM lab and quiz on wednesday…And again the CHEM tutorial quiz on thursday and finally CDS which is a group thing due on friday! GRRRRRRRRRRR
