Ok yesterday I watched Oprah unexpectedly after a hell of a tiring day and well I was lucky! I must say after watching yesterdays show I was truly inspired to make a difference in the world! Atleast in the smallest way possible.
They were talking about the new (RED) campaign which is started by the rocker BONO and one of his partners Bobby Shriver, its all about eliminating AIDS especially in Africa where people do not have enough money to even survive for a day. We are gifted enough to get medicine from a corner store but nope not Africa.
There was a story shown on Oprah which took place when Alicia Keys Visited Africa. She met a boy who looked so young liek an 8 year old shown in the picture below, but no he was 17 years old since he couldnt get treatment for AIDS his body couldnt develop. He should ahve taken the treatment when he was three years old. But becuase of this illness hes like an outcast in the society. He even cant go to school and hes an orphan whos been taken care by his older sisters. And when the boy saw care from people like Alicia Keys he simply cried which was so hard to look. But later like a week ago they got to know that the boy past away! How many children like this are suffering form this illness and poverty! They should be helped…They should be helped to get good education therefore they gain knowledge to help themselves and others from preventing to spread thsi deadly disease and live a happy wholesome and healthy life.

Therefore rather than asking people for money all the time for charity which gets into our nerves, they came up with an idea where they partnered up with certain brands and made product which are basically red and part of their proceeds in some cases 50% of the proceeds goes to help buy AIDS medication, funds for shcooling and all sorts of important needs in AFRICA. The participating stores are Gap, Motorolla, Giorgio Armani, Converse, and Apple Ipod. And they have some awesome products you guys need to checkout.
But the sad part is noen of them are available in Canada yet which is pathetic hope its available soon and you do a small part to help save a person from HIV.
